Spode - Josiah Spode

Josiah Spode, SToke on Trent, Staffs c 1784-April 1833. Subsequently Copeland & Garrett. The Spode works was finally closed, after 250 years, in 2008.In April 2009 Portmerion Pottery Stoke, Staffs bought Spode from the recievers and so saving the famous name.
