Beautiful and rare Wedgwood Etruria stamped tea for two service dating to c1879, when the design was registered.A wondeful pattern of hand fans painted in bright blue and pink and pink oriental blossoms set against dark branches - the branch effect carrying onto the handles which are made in a very naturalist way.The ribs of the fans and the blossoming branches are all raised slighty.The teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug and both cups resting on little feet made to represent the handle of the fans with blue detail on the cups and gilt details on the other pieces.Teapot standing approx 3 1/2" high CONDITION : Teapot:clean interior,no damage found, slight wear to black paintwork on spout and handle some wear to gilt.
Cups: no damage found, some wear to gilt,some specks to rim area of one cup.One foot with glazed over firing crack - stable,
Sugar bowl.Some wear to gilt, reglued handle to lid with old glue which could be improved upon.
Jug:some wear to gilt.
Still a superb example of the beautiful teaware made in the 1870-80 period.More details available on request
