Beautiful quality tea cup & saucer by H & R Daniel dating to c1840 -1846. A grey/bluernground with hooped pattern enclosing cartouches of handpainted enamelledrnflowers. Cup with small pedestal and ring handle on support-thumb rest positioned above the cup rim and facing inwards. Gilt rims and details.Pattern number 8140 - one of only approx 35 patterns discovered on this shape so far.As is common there is no makers marks and the pattern number appears on the saucer only. In good condition with very minimal signs of gilt wear and a good ring to each piece.
