Beautiful cabinet cup & saucer which we believe is by Sir James Duke and Nephews (who took over Samuel Alcocks factory)Navy ground with white blassoms amongst lemon and gilt foliage. Gilt stripe borders and gilt floral motif to interior of cup and saucer centre. Loop handle with thumb rest to top. Pattern number 6/1261 dating to c1855. In good condition with minimal signs of wear.A nice quality example.
